Alison Childers

I'm a web developer looking to land my next development job. Being a former teacher, I may have an unusual background, but I have many transferable skills and a knack for teaching myself. I have worked for the last 6+ months doing freelance and contract web/Google Apps Script development. I have worked with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as well as React, Bootstrap, jQuery, and Google Apps Script. I've also integrated multiple APIs such as Firebase, Stripe, a Themeparks API, and more.

I've put these into practice on several projects in my portfolio linked above, and I'm particularly excited to share my GroupCheck app for teachers, which has been used by over 500 people since launching 8/11/22. Right now I'm working on new and exciting Disney theme parks web app in React that allows users to create an account and plan their Disney vacation! You can also find this in my portfolio.

But even more than my coding skill, I am a lifelong learner who's always hungry to learn more. Having a math mind, I'm used to persevering with puzzles, and coding is just a giant puzzle. I love working in a collaborative environment and know I would be an asset to any team.
